Spang Angora Rabbitry was founded in the year 2000 and was registered with the American Rabbit Breeder's Association in 2003. We are known for high quality French Angora rabbits that perform successfully at every level of competition, and we are in the process of adding Giant Angoras to our program in 2011. Our rabbitry is located in the Catskill Mountains of New York State, and we can regularly be seen submitting our rabbits to show table evaluation in ARBA Districts 7 and 9.
We breed for hardy, vigorous rabbits who meet the ARBA standard for show and qualify as meat/fiber candidates for the homestead as well. We consistently breed for large-bodied rabbits with premium density and texture. The Angora is a fiber rabbit first and foremost, but we promote good bone and strong commercial type to properly display the wool and enable each rabbit to achieve it's genetic potential.
